Excited to head to L.A. Care, a large public health insurer for dual eligible individuals and families in Los Angeles. We are doing a project linking healthcare and education as a way to break the cycle of poverty. Will be using Lady Lucy's Quest and Activity book in English and Spanish -- accompanied with a training session for the teachers/social workers in the Resource Centers. And every kid gets a book of their own. I will be reading on Thursday and Friday of this week to groups of 30 kids and parents. This is a remarkable project and one about which I feel deeply proud.
