Headed momentarily to Democracy Prep School in Las Vegas on Andre Agassi Campus. Exciting to read and share Lady Lucy's Quest with elementary school students. Reading has real power; it allows for the development of thinking and coping skills -- much needed in view of the disasters in our world -- both person made and nature made.  In short reading matters and Lady Lucy's message of strength, endurance and courage is most fitting -- sad but true. Doing a presentation on Oct. 17th at Columbia Teacher College on strategies teachers, parents and administrators can use to help kids deal with trauma and toxic stress.  My adult book develops the concept of lasticity which can  be deployed with success.  (It is in children's book too.)
