Technical gremlins returned right at the end, when the video mysteriously disappeared. We had to restore it through YouTube support. What we learned: we live in a time when you can only spot you're chatting with a robot because it's too polite and too competent to be human. Been posting a while about the way QVC / HSN style live streaming has become more and more prevalent. As well as wondering when narrative-driven shopping would arrive. Well, as Connie Chan points out, it is much more than just "selling stuff" it's about the melding of entertainment, commerce, and content - it's Shopatainment. And before you chuckle and move on, realize that it is a $137B industry in China. Anything that generates that kind of money will most definitely be tried outside of Asia. As an aside, I love the term Shopatainment. Here’s what I want to know: How did the Covid aid (thru various packages) go to so many places that did not need it (Harvard and Potbelly among others)? Some Colleges got zero $$ as I understand it as it stands now. Do part time students lower number? Does grad rate matter?
