So, I am worried about children and their difficulty with school closures and social distancing. It is tough on them -- don't let anyone tell you otherwise. So, I wrote a children's book for them -- to be read to and with them. It will be out w/in two weeks in an ebook and video version. But, for now, use this link below. I hope children will smile and "get it." It has been tested on kids and the story works. They may share their own feelings -- which are similar to those of Wrinkles. Please share with teachers, parents, guardians, and caregivers. And Enjoy! This is meant to be used. It is free, as will be the ebook and the video. If you need to help figuring out good questions to ask related to the story, let me know. Happy to help. …see more

Think about this... It’s a crowded field, and Apple, Disney, and WarnerMedia are making big bets. This is going to get very interesting, very quickly. As they like to say in the TV business: Stay tuned.

So we are all worried about the virus and germs and transmission. Families confined to their homes are struggling. I have a bilingual children's book (ages 2 -- 4) that is on indestructible paper that can be wiped down -- cleaned off with a wipe. Seriously, this is a book for our transmission worried times. And, it deals with object constancy --- something critical in our crazy world. It is fun and clever and has multiracial characters. Older kids can find use for the book if they are trying to learn one language or another -- English or Spanish. There are parent reading tips and activities too -- written in English and Spanish. So how do you get this book? Email dwraga@northshire.com . She can process your order. Price is $10.00. She can get them out right away. But I have 10 in my possession. If you send me your name and address, then I will give 10 books away to those who reach out first. Send email to WrinklesGetsIt@yahoo.com . Not sure how I will mail them given quarantine but I will try. Images from the book are attached. Indestructible paper is amazing --- it doesn't tear and it can be cleaned off with a wipe. …see more

Share with kids across the globe. It is good to read before or after the Wrinkles story --- and kids can compare the two books! Wrinkles story is in English and Spanish and involves a dog -- a basset -- a real one. Having kids compare two books is a really good learning exercise!!! …see more

Thoughts welcomed. Will strain on folks be diminished as the world reopens slowly? I think not as much as others think. Ponder PPTS — post pandemic trauma syndrome. Jobless folks, healthcare workers, teachers, students, parents, small business owners, those who are recovering, those who survived.....there is a psychological toll we have paid and will continue to pay... we need to acknowledge that....and address it. …see more

As you may know, I have written a video book about our dog Wrinkles -- he's struggling with social distancing. It is now in English and Spanish. I am delighted that the Rutland Herald contains a terrific article by the amazing reporter @PatrickMcCardle. Here's the best part: five (5) readers in Rutland can get a free copy of my bilingual children's book on indestructible paper from Northshire Books by emailing the publisher. The first five to respond. Perfect book for our time too -- indestructible paper that can be cleaned, multiracial characters and a trauma sensitive theme: object constancy and separation. So, my thanks to Patrick and the Herald. And, please residents of Rutland, VT.: order the book and see the smiles when reading to kids, even in these difficult times. https://lnkd.in/eUhJJ5m …see more

When I was in 7th grade, my school music director asked me to orchestrate one of my original songs for our middle school jazz band. I remember being excited, honored, humbled, and scared all at the same time.

Here's a law school hypo for all my former students and colleagues (+ lawyers/ law students out there): Suppose that you ingested Lysol and you injected it too. And, suppose you got the idea from the President. Suppose, too, that you had the supplies at home (diabetic mother-in-law) and before the warnings came down, you tried to "clean" your insides. When you burn your esophagus and then your veins collapse and you are rushed to the ER and catch COVID while waiting for a bed, do you have any causes of action and if so, on what basis and against whom? Please consider whether presidential immunity is considered waived when there is criminal or tortious behavior. Consider whether there is a cause of action against the company for producing a dangerous product that did not say on the label: this is NOT injectable. Is there a cause of action against the hospital for keeping you waiting and exposed to COVID? And, is there a cause of action against your mother-in-law for having needles that are freely accessible in your home despite the presence of non-diabetic adults and children? Keep your response short. Your answer can only be written in a blue book and must be legible. My hope: that you learned a lot this semester and that this exam allows you to show your analytic skills. …see more
