Thank you Oprah Magazine for sharing my story - my struggles, my triumphs, and my heart for encouraging women to live limitless lives!! It’s not easy as a woman (or a man) to carve out your own path when the world is pressuring you to live up to impossible standards. It’s like, don’t have kids too young, but also don’t wait too long. Be sexy, but also make sure you cover up like Mother Teresa. Don’t rush into marriage, take your time to figure it out unlike so-and-so who has a terrible marriage, but also, when are you getting married? You’re enough, but also, buy all these beauty products to make you more desirable. I like girls who look “natural”, but also, every woman I chase after has fake breasts / hair/ nails and wears lots of makeup (oh I’m going in). Go to the gym and lose weight, but also learn how to bake this cake. Be yourself, but also be like everyone else. Anyone else feel me on this?! The world is confused y’all, and trying to live up to other people’s expectations will have you feeling crazy. If you can relate, I’m here to remind you, like God has been reminding me, that WHAT’S FOR YOU IS FOR YOU! Everyone’s journey is different, and that’s beautiful. Let go of who you’re “supposed to be”, and trade it in for who YOU were created to be.
