Kudos to journalist Linda Villarosa , for her absorbing, brilliantly reported and written feature in The New York Times , "Why America's Black Mothers and Babies Are in a Life-or-Death Crisis." I spend so much time thinking about global health in developing countries, that it is sometimes too easy to neglect what's happening right here in America. #HealthForAll isn't just a trendy hashtag; it should stand for the right to health and social justice for everyone. #maternalhealth #childhealth …see more

When I was a little girl, it crossed my mind that maybe I should have been born a boy. Why? Because I wanted to be a CEO. There were very few female founders and CEOs in business and tech for me to look up to as a child. Now I’m two months away from graduating college, and I’m so happy that powerful, confident women have come into my life as role models and mentors. It’s these women who inspire little girls to one day become CEOs. This #InternationalWomensDay, I wanted to say thank you to the women in my life who have made me proud of my drive, hustle and femininity. #PressForProgress …see more
Distractions are always going to be there. How to stick to a plan and ignore distractions: 1. Be in touch with your goals. Often review why this goal is important to you. 2. Learn how to say no. Count how many times you said yes to something you wish you hadn't. 3. Meditate to develop the ability to focus. Train your mind to succeed. 4. Understand the cause of chaos in your #life and be brutal about reducing it. 5. Don't multitask as a habit. Do one thing at a time. 6. Limit #technology interruptions, so you stay focused. 7. Plan things and activities to do when stressed and unfocused. #PersonalDevelopment #Productivity …see more

AI started becoming over-used! Every founder defines his/her company as an AI company! Real AI is so hard to be delivered, so let's not make AI meaningless by misusing it in the industry!
The media industry is losing billions of dollars to ad fraud yet they still write stories about it as if it is an ad industry problem!!! It demonstrates how little the media industry understands its own economy and the many middlemen that profit from its work. #journalism …see more
To tip or not to tip? I’m in USA and I feel like I walked into a unknown social zone... Do I tip for a coffee? Is it normal for an Uber driver to ask for a tip within the first 1 minute of driving to my destination? What’s the tipping etiquette? [edit] I copied framework for tipping to share for others who plan to visit USA From KRISTIN A. SHERRY Tipping in the U.S.: NO tip: fast food restaurants like Wendy's, McDonald's, etc Tip is customary: Sit down restaurants, nail salons, pizza delivery Optional tip: Hotel chambermaid, Uber/Lyft, ice cream shop, coffee shop Note: I always tip all service people because their pay is shyte. Except places where they aren't allowed to take them. #stringtheory on #life …see more

Leadership, at the heart of it, is about inspiring greatness in others. It's about enabling others to reach their full potential. Empowering others to make confident decisions requires a leader to be, first, secure in their own strengths and vulnerabilities. Often the undoing of leaders is their inability to make space for others to emerge from the shadows of the organization. For a leader to succeed they need to scale, and to scale they need to delegate. Founders sometimes struggle with practicing delegation. I believe this is one of the most common issues why the potential of a start-up is not fully realized. Delegation is not about demanding results; it takes genuine empowerment to allow others to flourish and an understanding of the constraints. Delegation = Empowerment = Success. …see more
