It's about time that disability leadership gains ground! I was drawn to the Forbes website early this morning because of an article Kris Macc about the epic fail of representation on the 100 Most Innovative Leaders list.. I get frustrated in the arena of equality because there are so many challenges far beyond our appearance, targeting gender and ethnicity. Disability support and unawareness are also imperative to innovation and growth but this area is often ignored. I can honestly say that Jake's review of the new RED Hydrogen One is one of my all time Verge favs. He tries so diligently to deliver a balanced review of this phone and fails hilariously because there's just no getting away from the fact that this phone is an unmitigated disaster. The 4v (?) screen is terrible and looks like some dodgy 3D effect from the 1970s; the camera is 'meh'; and the rest of the phone is a one year old Android phone housed in a ludicrously heavy and over designed body. And it costs $1300! President Trump is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday to discuss a possible resolution to their ongoing trade war. One factor that could be pushing the president toward a deal: His trade policies are broadly unpopular with American voters. A new survey conducted for The New York Times by SurveyMonkey finds that a majority of Americans think the trade fight with China will be bad for the United States. There's a big partisan split -- Democrats and independents oppose the tariffs by a wide margin, while Republicans overwhelmingly support the president's approach. But even most Republicans think the trade war will raise prices. Will any of this matter in 2020? Hard to say. Trade doesn't generally rank high on voters' lists of top issues. It hardly even came up at the first Democratic presidential debate. But if the trade war starts to damage the broader American economy, then all bets are off.
