I've been thinking lately about success - what it looks like to each of us, what others think about it who are in the middle of trying to achieve it, what it looks like from the other side for those who have "made it" - and the price we often pay for it. This post is on the latter - difficult to write but important to consider within entrepreneurship. …see more

"When we pursue real understanding, we can progress beyond knowledge about an issue like child hunger or poverty to being moved to address the core issues that result in so many children not having a home or bed or even a toy to call their own, who wake up or go to sleep hungry, insecure or fearing for their own safety." …see more

This is a new model for OTT by Rivit TV - crowdfunding show creation based on a free pilot episode. I imagine having an installed base like Kevin Smith (3.38 million Twitter followers) doesn't hurt but it will be interesting to see if someone can achieve success on the platform without it. Then again, this could end up being a “farm league” for Netflix , Amazon , Hulu , etc. #ott #tv #television #televisionprogramming #crowdfunding #internettv #entertainment #netflix #amazon #amazonprime #hulu …see more

The name of this company,  Welcome to the Jungle , is pretty brilliant given what they do (inbound job recruitment) and, of course, the cultural reference to the universally recognized GnR song.

Many #B2B software and technology marketers seem unaware of the critical role that consistency and repetition play in claiming a position, that mental space in your target audience’s mind that you can “own” with an idea that has compelling meaning to the recipient. It’s in this mental space where your product’s most important benefit and the target’s most important need meet, stick together and form a meaningful relationship. You stand out when you use the power of consistency and repetition. Good #marketing advice from Lawson Abinanti …see more

Interesting read on how the grocery industry is leveraging tech. To be honest, though, I thought the following would've happened years ago (glad to see it starting to happen now at least): "Last year, Kroger introduced a system called “Scan, Bag, Go” that allows customers to scan and pay for grocery items as they shop — with their smartphone." #grocery #retail #shopping #CX #customerexperience #kroger …see more
